"MEMORIES OF UNCLE HENRY FILLMORE"
Daniel Boone Forest All-Star Circus Band with Harvey Phillips and Dave Gannett
Circus buffs and brass band afficianados will love this rollicking tribute to the great bandmaster, "Uncle" Henry Fillmore by the Daniel Boone Forest All-Star Circus Band. "Lightning Fingers" will have clarinet players ready to throw their clarinets into the river as Vincent Abato blazes through the ferocious part as if he were yawning.
Earl Louder's gorgeous baritone adds a nice head of cream to the ensemble. "Solo Pomposo" finds Harvey Phillips and Dave Gannett doing the musical version of the Vulcan mind-meld in this classic solo for the tuba section. The ensemble features members of the New York Brass Quintet and some of the great New York musicians like Vincent Abato, Eugene Rousseau, Robert Nagle and many others.
Spread a blanket, crank up the ice cream churn and get ready for a delightful band concert in the park!
